Standard Bank Group Learnernships offer a work-based approach to learning. The programme integrates practical theory and includes both structured work experience and structured learning with an accredited training provider.
You will be paid a stipend – this will not be equivalent to a full time salary but should at least cover your transport and meals. There's no guarantee at the end of the learnership that the company will employ you.

While some do prefer you to have matric, others don't. Companies like Eskom offer Learnerships for young people without Matric. The pro of having a learnership is that in most cases while being taught the necessary skills required for the field, you also receive a small stipend for the practical work you are doing.
